welfare-greed-lusts-hatred
yet this
one day each year
hearts
and cards and candy
once
done all year round
families
caring for families
loving
one’s neighbors
teaching
values of charity
forgotten
now in a frenzy
this day of love tenderness
needed
all year round
absorbed
in lusts/passions
in this
nation gone astray
one day
professing love!
