“Disturbing Thoughts”

Each time they return calling
‘listen to our story then write’
sometimes a year goes by
others maybe a decade too
mostly they come in flurries
demanding over and over
‘write our story’s you know’
sleepless night then had
dreams of what’s been told
these disturbing thoughts
repeating themselves again
from a plethora of sources
Vietnam – Holocaust – WW1
Civil War – WW2 – 1812
American Revolution – Korea
Nurses of all conflicts had
Trek West – Ships and Sea
ever so many revealed
each crying the same over
‘listen to our story then write’
calling me is seems alone!
