Tedious carving to do with care

stone to be chipped away slow

achieving what will soon be seen

naked and less attractive by all;

 

Initials of hatred being so carved

one chip and one swing at a time

slowly and ponderously so done

until all beguiled in this spell;

 

Please don’t anyone think to tell

or else tyranny cannot be won

think not even to write some line

to the masses huddled starved;

 

Hear not histories faint soft call

wherein men/women to be mean

just a soft breath one should blow

and in subjection again to share!
