Emotions running very
high of recent
mindful of the grief
renewed in memory
feeling another’s
pain and suffering
marveling at the
strength able to keep
thus rivulets found
in profusions today
remembering days of
long ago shared
meeting strangers
becoming brothers
then the nurses found
as our sisters
brothers and sisters
sharing a moment
some embracing a
lifetime as one
others parting in the
mist of time gone
where tears a
frequent visitor known!
