Forsaking the telling of a lie

Willing instead ready to die;

 

To the rod of iron holding fast

That our life to righteously last;

 

Willing to learn and discern all

Able better to hear Father’s call;

 

Responding to another’s need

Purest doctrine always to heed;

 

Sometimes hard doctrine to teach

Ever rebellious hearts to reach;

 

Truth telling instead false talk

The higher road thus to walk!
