loud bands and louder
noises
beguiling smiles and
compromises
public images and
confidential lies
showing off the worst
or the best
depending on what to
be stealing
in shame our
government dealing
having distractions
in their war chest
craving indifference
to another’s cries
whether executive,
court or congress
tumbled and confusing
their voices
within subterfuge
they’ve invented!
