Choosing between the eternities
reality tough to face in forever
pretenses and guile left outside
promises and half-truths dismissed
for nothing or all is the prize
giving one’s word and keeping
covenanted to be obedient always
for one who cannot be trusted
keeping not his word or mortality
thus nothing or all in the balance
en-route to Zion or left in Babylon!
