my brother’s guardian
goes by name of Odin
black lab turned ten
just something told me
his hips and his age
winters colder for him
a bit slower as aging
loyal and a protector
friends to yard pets
squirrels and birds
sadness and joy blend
such a friend to know
hoping he’s able to stay
while we know closer
my friend to going away!
