Coming
and going each year
a day to
remember veterans
each in
their own way to do
some
burning the flag/nation
others
flying proudly their love
how many
have served
eternally
their names etched
maybe in
time we’ll meet
able to
share salutes
hearing
morning colors
taps
played one more time
saying
thank you-love you
this
time of year to reflect
of all
those who’ve served
whether
at home/abroad
loving
our nation/others
shedding
life’s blood
for the
good of all!
