Sometimes wondering of life
wandering from an infant
so much going on around
yet too young to discern
while as a child alert but
more selfish than learning
becoming a teenager found
comprehending so much
twisting between childhood
becoming too soon adult
memories are great also
but as December comes
wondering what’s fair or
while knowing it’s all fair
we’ve each a life to live
a mission to complete
unable to run once more
except in the mind aware
able to reflect and share
knowing all is fair in life
while seemingly to linger
wandering from infancy
into too soon December!
