How many
years hearing
over and
over in the winds
now in
rest laid with friends
we hear
the hawks call
reminding
us of service
duty to
nation and family
he comes
to visit our rest
high on
a pole to see
each of
us materialize
straight
and tall salute
colors
sounded often
our hawk
calling us each
‘Attention!’
one more time!
