"Wounded and Sick"

The cost of war is not just killed
but found more in those sick
compounded by those wounded
infection and dysentery found
more dying this way than bullets
or bombs or invasions bound
accounted some for years
maimed, raped, unrecovered
orphans and widows hopeless
as the innocent causalities
while statistics only count dead!
