Each person needs to endure

tests and fires and extreme pain

for if not so would God be fair

excusing some tests not to share

as if allowing wetness of rain

leaving a chill without a cure;

 

Pain knocking on each door

finding many not to be home

unwilling to enter the refining

their own rules thus defining

to be out in the cold all alone

rich in the world and soul poor!
