How many sisters/brothers
facing fire and without waver
doing what needs to be done
not thinking of being the hero
engaged to save lives of others
doing what they’ve been taught
holding fast to their positions
cringing not – staying the course
uncommon valor of so many
neglected by history to report
yet known to all who survived
because of real soldiers fighting
in uncommon valor for them!
