Next our own son
15 surgeries by 5 years
as an infant 10 weeks
in a small crib alone
his little arms pinned
(tongue suppressors
as arm long splints)
so wouldn’t hit mouth
disturbing surgery
able to look not speak
neither
could he
hear
frightened until
allowed
to hold and cuddle!
