went out quickly
drugs taking
away life
limp and
unresponsive
doctors
doing their work
quickly
and efficiently
laying
restless quiet
digging
into deepness
unaware
and unwilling
till
slowly awakening
darkness
all around
soon
panic in darkness
unable
to move arms
legs the
same tied
stirring
around loosely
noticing
a night light
soon
someone near
checking
IV’s each
then the
restraints
softly
saying ‘okay’
nothing
more at all
panic in
the darkness!
