Fond the memories of night time

with our first son 3 more minutes

with our second almost same

having said prayers always

then the three minutes more

‘I am A Child of God’ sung

as at each of their births

then an Irish lullaby next

without much tone balance

neither seemed to mind

it’s night time precious

finding sleep unwilling

till after the three minutes

so long ago a fond memory!
