Buying chocolate ice cream

finding it was marked wrong

and you’ve maple walnut

climbing up a tree quick

and finding a snake on top

going for the last cookie

finding only crumbs left

dreaming of a first kiss

awakening to your dog

licking your face happy

of course disappointments

come with two choices

pretend you like maple

glad the snake harmless

good day to start a diet

disappointments disappear

even if you really don’t like

maple walnut ice cream!
