How
young I feel I am
yet weary
with this aging
less
active in my body
mind
racing to completion
whereas
the plant cries
chlorophyll
I but oxygen
more and
more escaping
causing
autumn to flee
winter
seeking her entrance
all too
soon or just in time
so close
sometimes past
yet
weary with this aging
how
young I feel I am!
Plant senescence is the process of
aging in plants.
