Symbols starched on smoothness
coming then another to absorb
matters not the surface but flat
lines hither and thither formed
some with curves others not
soon others to duplicate well
translations in the future done
whence within the mind found
transcribing as at a whim once
then determined to tell more
whether the novel or Scripture
letters or conversation offered
gone into the inner-self again
these symbols starched once
privately now internal again
as if written in the sand dry
now erased when found wet!!
