Feeling like the messenger

between American People

and the Congress lethargic

carrying news of eternity

finding so few care to hear

vacant stares and silence

continuously to learn more

finding myself writing within

vanity not withstanding none

wanting friends to know too

what truths research found

left with the heaviness above

congress asleep uncaring

deaf – blind – unfeeling

like much the world about

rejected as the messenger!
