Striking a match lit brightly

then being subdued quickly;

Throwing flames in the air

my memory trying to scare;

Watching each fall into space

seemingly thoughts to erase;

How difficult to rekindle anger

then showing to a stranger;

Struggling to hold my breath

otherwise facing sure death;

Vicarious or in reality unknown

so dimming the flames groan;

Wither my hopes too extreme

My mind ready to scream;

Needing intercessions quickly

to lift my hopes ever brightly!
