A nation
in a draught
while
half is flooding
the
other is on fire
one
wants to water
the
other to turn it off
while
with billions
wasted
in politics
quicksand
of the worst
none
invented ‘to water’
moving
it from here to there
quenching
the draught
quenching
the fires
holding
back the floods
something
so simple
instead
government
blaming
each other
looking
for a buck
ignoring
the simple
moving
water here to there
while
all the time lost
eternally
forever lost!
