 What we enter into our minds

subconsciously implanted

sounds and melodies often

carrying a sweet sound

mingled with evils lyrics

while hymns of goodness

can equally engage peace

bringing about worthiness

thus we’re to seek always

righteous music of the soul

consciously turning our hearts

to the Father and the Son

entering goodness in our minds!

There are many references in the scriptures, both ancient and modern, that attest to the influence of righteous music. The Lord, Himself, was prepared for His greatest test through its influence, for the scripture records: “And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.” (Mark 14:26.)
