Prophet Born This Day”

Can you
hear the Angels singing
cheering
for this simple birth
between
Vermont/New Hampshire
into a
family of love and values
nurtured
in strength to do right
able to
withstand great pain
as a
child to deal with disease
later as
an adult persecuted
tarred
and feathered too
shot at
and harassed always
death
threats and bounties
but he
was a true Prophet
called
to restore the Kingdom
which
most all pray daily for
‘Thy
Kingdom Come…”
knowing
the Kingdom first
then the
second coming
yet as
in the day of Christ
so to
today all is denied
Prophets
martyred always
even the
Savior crucified
no
different now than then
living
Prophets can’t be
heavens
are closed to all
no more revelations
at all
sadly
and most surety today
the need
never greater
but as
was Joseph Smith
so to
today Thomas Monson
hated,
denied, threatened
but
whether one wants or not
a
Prophet born this day 1805
called
while still a child
cheered
by the all of us
hearing
the Angels singing!
