maelstrom
carried along almost
helpless
sensing the utter
destruction
losing all feeling
and direction
beyond mortal
deception
found in new
construction
a people no longer
selfless
within self-inflicted
pogrom;
Anguishing without
virtues
accepting defeat
uncaringly
our nation dying in
extremes
corpse’s living in
the malls
unhearing repentance
calls
drowning in profane
steams
national apathy
glaringly
destroying all human
values!
