Drums
and bugles put away
the streets
cleaned for work
horses
in their stalls again
many
back to school or work
graveyards
peacefully quiet
amid the
soft whispers there
about
loved one who came
wondering
of those unable
fresh
flowers seen about
while
across the world
veterans
struggle to live
bombs and
ambushes
daily
events to endure
this the
day after found
politicians
telling their lies
promises
already broken
sirens
within the cities
streets
littered in filth
uniforms
again put away!
