Lost and all alone
traffic all around
predators overhead
just a little fur
ball
whimpering so little
only one pound
three weeks old
no teeth or a growl
just wondering why
somehow left behind
till hands embraced
lifting me up to see
a kitten or a puppy
this small ball of
fur
resembling a
teddy-bear
knowing a home found
orphaned no longer
cared for and loved
loyalty and
protection
now six years old
caring for and loving
loyally protecting
name’s Teddy-Bear
don’t let that fool
you
now 40lbs solid found
as my home’s safe
protected by me
Father’s plan to be
her finding me
together to be!
