Other’s cut and run

but old and young

stayed their course

they did their duty

well called to serve

lining up and going

to the East and West

fighting for freedom

Europe’s and Asia

all others between

yes, others cut and run

but others – veterans

stayed their course

ensuring of freedom

for those yet unborn

and those captive

to the wills of tyrants

to the guile of men

to the envy of women

they did their duty

so we now are needful

to do ours for others

as they did theirs!
