“Often Thought – Tears Flow”

Uncontrollable anger at times
unexplained to those around
frustration without any lines
where our feet used to pound;
No longer young or eager to be
just thoughts captured at night
untold the nightmare memories
trying always to do what’s right;
Often thought – tears flow today
deepening shadows surround
where once simple child’s play
now old displays so profound;
Shading eyes of loved ones now
that they’ll never experience same
wondering this to do somehow
and yet our freedom’s to claim?
