When we were young
t’was Santa’s list
checking it twice
soon report cards
and then interims
seemingly evaluations
endlessly keeping score
till at some point
all will come to an end
and where will we be
naughty or nice
failing or passing
bad – good – excellent
tally sheets which count
kept within the heavens
notes and reports
never quite knowing
for each is different
none found the same!
