So many times in life
river crossings to make
sometimes lakes/streams
other times seas/oceans
without ship or raft
without sail or oar
heavy currents swirl
cresting in open anger
yet each time faced
we’ve to make a way
getting here to there
refining ourselves
to be obedient today
then always so to be
crossings never easy
temptations to enjoin
temptations to enjoin!
