A familiar sound
reminding each
something once
known so well;

Hearts to swell
forgotten thence
again to teach
Celestial bound;

Father's voice
all to rejoice
so many lost
a terrible cost;

Tempest tossed
lost his voice
sheep to wander
left to ponder;

This Sabbath day
do you now hear
His voice clear
for this I pray!
