Two very simple words

how many of us hear them

when whispered within

or in the eyes of another

in a child’s soft cry

yet each and everyone

expect in an instant

Father to hear us each

when after years ignoring

call upon Him saying,

‘help me!’ ‘help me!’

years without caring

selfishly indulging

and all around us each

another is asking us,

‘help me!’ ‘help me!’

Father answers each

not with bright lights

but through each of us

helping one another

in service learning love

for He hears each of us

when we whisper within

these two simple words!
