“Are We the Galgal*”
cji
9/9/13
Starting as a tender
plant
able to be used in
service
mortal is our
lifespan to be
cutting to weeks at
most
soon growing thorns
sharp
piercing all within
contact
thinking found to be
mature
severing our
relationships
and as the Galgal
torpor
with the slightest
winds
rolling off across
the waste
soon only used as
fodder
wasted and without
life!
*Gundelia
tournefortii sometimes called a tumble thistle.
