Aging is a quiet thing to do

each day adding to the many

sometimes everything works

others with breakdowns

minor adjustments found

major overalls needed

feeling the chill today

others found in warmth

never knowing which to be

until awakening and doing

remember good and bad

knowing the journey

continues within forever

while mortality a wink

a blinking of the eye

first found in January

then all of sudden

feeling the chill again

knowing it’s December!
