“We’re
But Flesh”
cji
10/05/12
Sometimes
a wishful thought
other times
to ponder nothing
drifting
as sawdust on water
becoming
soluble – sinking
scattered
about in the winds
nothing
to be found later
centuries
of unwritten time
destroyed
by fire and ice
we’re
but flesh and weak
as wind
streaks by unseen
most in
mortality feel same
yet
each – everyone known
for
mortality is the testing
the
second estate to endure
we’re
but flesh and bone
eternally
in time and space
if we
endure within this life
having flesh,
bone and blood!
