if over long ago
yet still
farther ahead to see
seems
like only yesterday
but it’ll
be there tonight
dreams
and horrors oft
coming
when unexpected
escape
and evasion again
thinking
it over to begin
withdrawn
and unexited
star bursts
high aloft
making
of day from night
unwanting
in this to stay
begging
ever to be free
thinking
it over long ago!
