Wandering in the dark
night
going to the local cemetery
all the locals hanging
out
teeth chattering
without cover
some with a semblance of
self
while other just
falling apart
as always the
discussions
centered around
delusive hopes
what they could’ve done
or
maybe who they could’ve
been
but all for naught sighting
me
reminding me of the
past
would be my future only
if
I’ve more than delusive
hopes!
