Just
born all wrinkled up
pulled by
the ankle ahead
my best
friend leaving
while I
not quite ready
wasn’t
going to be left
so
latched on to Linsey
she didn’t
mind me there
we kept
it quite till later
then I
too arrived early
could be
held in a hand
then
this singing voices
couldn’t
see only feel
first a
child of God
then
Irish lullaby
older
person could tell
that’s
all long ago
my first
day on earth
hearing
voices clear
one
singing just to me!
