Giving permission to a child

endured their innocent pleas

invoked their tears and eyes

‘just this once can’t I go?’

we acquiesce too often

granting another the rights

allowing them to do wrong

pushing aside the Spirit

knowing it is wrong to do

we acquiesce our family

permission given to a child!
