Winds screaming at
times
roaring like a train
others
rain constant
pounding
seemingly without
let-up
power gone unknown
maybe tomorrow maybe
others worse off far
roofs and home lost
buildings collapsed
beach fronts lost
aftermath of storms
clean-ups endlessly
old-timers young now
years in future
talking
remembering today
as if only yesterday
meaningful the sorrow
feelings of many gone
aftermath is memory
winds, rains,
pounding!
