Most
Americans were sleeping
deep in
the valleys of WW2
good
days and bad days each
wondering
of son/daughters
fathers/mothers/uncles/aunts
Germany
on its high horse
declining
yet holding on deadly
being
pushed back on all fronts
with one
exception and now time
around
the time the world awakes
hearing
the thunders of planes
the
clatter of engines deep sounds
landing
on beaches renamed
today
around the time to awake
D-Day
commencing in Europe!)
