Coming
into life pure
innocent
to the world
yoked
securely to Father
watched
over always
then we
age some
age
eight again yoked
Savior
to covenant
becoming
a disciple
choices
ours to make
right
or wrong either;
Single
yoked by choice
obedient
in all things
doing
Father’s will
as with
the Son so us
innocence
is fleeing
worldly
evil tempting
struggles
thus ensue
love
sustains us now
our
Savior side by side
still
agency is ours;
Again
we age mature
worldly
bursts of storm
encircle
us about
giving
no peaceful rest
seeking
to double yoke
satan
calling his powers
seducing
and darkening
pleading
us to choose
evil,
greed, lusts, power
double
yoked in mud;
Choices
each one
right
or wrong to make
while
covenanted good
found
obedient always
repenting
quickly
never
to linger down
single
yoked today
our
Savior and us
never
yielding once
our
choice is made!
