So many wanting attention

impressed with importance

talking loudly and bragging

forgetting un-understanding

making show of powers

strutting and gallivanting

all for others to observe

getting their due in life

thinking this all there is

forgetting of eternities

playing only in the now

unwanting to share stage

pushing and shoving all

so many wanting attention!
