comes the light of truth

breaking
the chains asunder
giving
truth back to the Bible
effectively
in common sense
using
reason to edify all
(yet
most never to hear)
even
today banished
this
theologian a King
living
in the 9th Century
called
heretic by the church
even
today ignored
Alfred
the Great known
but only
to a very few
as a
great theologian!
