Seeking the sunshine to see

engaging within for pure sight

tenderness of the soul’s warmth

wherein my tired eyes do search;

Wanting a smile and not a frown

feelings of happiness not hurt

being welcomed – not shut out

found among friends not foes;

Longing over the time of ages

reading book upon book each

trying to find the wisdom of ages

desiring to see inspiration true;

My tired eyes filled with tears

wondering if I’ve offended any

or missed a needed smile lost

my tired eyes terrible is the cost!
