Clear clarion sounds

ringing in the air about

many voices to shout

or just one all alone;

 

The ax rises and falls

over and over repetitive

done by self or competitive

splitting wood for fire;

 

Older times long ago

when one worked by hand

now-a-days none understand

for mechanical replacing all;

 

Long ago and not far away

men/women worked together

striving for home and shelter

today once more all alone!
