deafened by the drums
cold and unfeeling deep
so many distractions
yet somewhere peace
restlessly awaiting
just beyond there
another question asked
accountability tasked
a vision to share
storms not abating
memories to release
forcing us in actions
where progenitors weep
when our being numbs
unseeing in the light!
