Nature always alive

even when unseen

each animal-bird

have to sustain self

thus the prey-predator

constant – eternal

within our mortality

the snake eats bugs

the bird eats snakes

conflicting styles

the snake squeezes

the bird beak tightens

much like humans

predators tightening

changing the rules

the innocent squeeze

hoping to abate death

unlike the snake

or even the bird

rules changing kills

quickly and silently

government greed

powerful and wealthy

depriving both air

snuffing out freedom

the fight to the end

who will win today

only when one quits

will the victor be

wickedness alive

only within worldly

innocence in obedience

sometimes the snake

most often the bird

nature’s fight

humanities risk!
